I knew a woman once who thought that in order to make her business work, she had to be ‘on’ 7 days a week, 12 hours a day.

She measured her success by her ability to be productive.

But after a while of being this way, she started noticing that she didn’t want to get out of bed in the morning.

She noticed that she started feeling resentful towards clients.

Doing things in her business half heartedly.

Sabotaging her success by withdrawing.

Feeling angry when friends called and wanted to hang out.

All she wanted was to be left alone so she could get some headspace.

That woman was me.

I’m a Manifesting Generator; I have a defined will, and a lot of (mostly unconscious) funky energy that drives all.the.time.

Perhaps you, or someone you know is like this, too.

If we’re not careful about where we focus our energy (does it fill you with joy? Are you in love with the idea? Do you feel a consistent ‘yes’ about it over time? Nope? Bye bye) we run the risk of driving ourselves into serious fatigue.

Just because you can, doesn’t mean you have to.

Just because you do it faster than everyone else, doesn’t mean it’s always the right thing for you to take it on.

Just because you’re running a business, doesn’t mean you work yourself into the ground for that business.

There are calm, more coherent ways of ensuring that that business works for you.

Rest for your body is a significant way to begin.
